Association for Senior Citizens Announces Carol "CJ" Johnson as Executive Director
DENVER, CO–(Marketwire – January 28, 2010) – The Board of Directors for the Association for
Senior Citizens is pleased to announce the appointment of Carol “CJ”
Johnson to the position of Executive Director as of 12/1/2009. Ms. Johnson
has been an active member of the board for the past 5 years. ASC is a
28-year-old nonprofit charitable organization providing financial
assistance to needy seniors to prevent eviction or utility shut off. The
ASC also has a weekly food bank and provides medical equipment such as
wheel chairs and walkers. Last year ASC experienced a 14% increase in the
number of clients served. Ms. Johnson is eager to grow the organization
and continue to provide our most vulnerable senior citizens with a safety
net to prevent homelessness and hunger. Ms. Johnson says, “As Colorado’s
population ages, and the number of seniors living in poverty grows, it is
essential that we continue to help as many as we can.”
